My interest in photography started around the age of 13.
For the next couple of years I played around with my camera and through my school I got access to a darkroom from time to time. At that time I mainly shot landscapes due to the fact that I didn't really have any goals, only my facination of photography.

After a while I became bored with landscape images and began a career in the IT industry. I started working as a programmer and later as a projectmanager, CTO and CEO. After about 5 years I started my own company in 2000.
I loved being selfemployed due to the freedom and the opportunities for realizing my own ideas.

In the start of 2005 I chose to sell my companies due to the way the market had developed. Suddenly I had a lot of freetime and after much consideration I decided to pursue a career as a photographer.
A few days before the first half of the photography education started I was lucky enough to get accepted.
So four days later I had moved several hundred kilometers and started at the Mediaschool in Viborg.

The purpose of the first part of the education is to teach the basics of photography, graphical design and the fundamentals of Photoshop and similar tools.
During my career in the IT and web industry I had worked with Photoshop for many years, so the real challenge was going from the logic thinking of a programmer to the creative thinking as a photographer.
Basically all my time was spent at the school and countless nights, weekends and hollidays was spent in the studio working with different areas of photography.

I finished the first part of the education with an exam on the topic of image manipulation and the ethical considerations in the use of manipulation in several areas of photography. I got an A on that exam.

My interest in photography is very wide, but I'm mainly hoping to pursue a career in high-quality fashion and advertising photography.
